it sucks. i don't want to have a part in this, and generally disagree with a lot of "hot takes" the fandom has regarding him. my dabi is NOT canon divergent or placed in any sort of overarching AU; i'm writing him as close to canon as possible, but i do understand how the fandom has warped both the understanding of it as well as the opinion of people regarding him as a character. if you're looking for a more chill and overly sexualised portrayal, i'm not the right account to follow.what i forgot until now
